I guess that's a philosophy. As long as you're responsible.
All I know is that my mom met my dad when she was my age. I'm actually slightly older. I've got 2 years until I'm my dad's age. It's just on my mind a whole lot more, and I personally know that I don't want my wife to have made out with tons of people drunken at a party, so I'm not going to do that either. "Do to others as you would have them do to you" sort of thing.
