cg_fov is probably cheat-protected and otherwise locked. You can always try it out, though since PunkBuster, they really started to lock down on console commands. I'll hop on the server in a few min and check it out anyway.

With that said, I run ET at 1024x768, 1280x800 is just too slow for me, 20-30FPS. I NEED 60FPS as much as I can, especially on radar, which sux teh cox. I'm still impressed considering my desktop gets 70-80 FPS with 1280x1024.
