Changing Windows XP Splash Screen

Changing Windows XP Splash Screen

Postby RChickenMan » Mar 31, 2004 @ 12:23am

How do you change the Windows XP splash screen? I know how to do it in 98, but it appears to be a different procedure in XP. I have been searching google and all kinds of forums for a while by now. I have found out how to disable the splash screen all together, but I can't seem to figure out how to replace it with my own image. I found an image that would be freaking hilarious as a splash screen...

Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

No, I've never seen that, I've never seen anyone drive their garbage out to the curb and bang the hell out of it with a stick. No, I've never seen that.

Yeah, I've been doing this for about a year now and use ThemeXP for findig new boot screens, welcome screens, etc. I've even made a couple for my main compie. ThemeXP has instructions on how to make them. Visit it, it's really cool!
