I decided the marathon thing with all 3 is a bit much since I have so much to do with finals and everything this week. But I still want to see just the Return of the King today. But the movie theater isn't showing it alone, only in the marathon :evil:

thats what im tolkien about! lol. The marathon sounds kool, the local cinema is only showing rotk on its own though :(.

ROTK was awesome. It was a fantastic ending and was very satisfying end to the trilogy.

The Scouring of the Shire as noted by some already was not filmed but I understand PJ's view on the matter: After the battles between Gondor and Mordor, the SoS would have been a bit dull.
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.
