Do I really need to get in the argument over who's to say who's a Christian, again? I am not anti-life just pro-choice (in some circumstances).

Here's a quick rundown on fetal brain development:

*

Newly born babies aren't really sentient beings; so PBAs aren't cruel. I think I would honestly feel worse putting down a good dog, than doing an elective-PBA.

Fetuses aren't conscious beings; killing them is entirely different than murder. They don't have a choice; they aren't capable of desiring a choice. No choice.

I think what you mean, Markdh, is a fetus's right to life. And a fetus has none.

Rising a child to sentience that you don't have the resources to suppport, however, is cruel. Abortion rights are all about allocation of a individual resources.

What's the number one indicator that a woman will fail economically?

Having a child.

It's the woman's business what she wants to do with the child, as she assumes a great amount of risk and cost to have it.

As far as I'm concerned, girls under 18 should not be allowed to have children. I wouldn't force it on them, but I would certainly encourage it.

By focusing emotional and economic resources on fewer children and waiting until those resources are available for investment, that child is more likely to become a good productive member of society.

I agree with Andy on PBA.

Further, I think our goal as a society should be to produce capable, responsible, productive, and community oriented individuals. Religion will soon be history (with the exception of the insignificant few who hold on), and energy needs to be invested in creating a culture where these character traits are encouraged.
Truth is a possession.
