Umm... I'm not too good at musical genres, but I'm pretty damn sure that Raunchy couldn't be called techno, doesn't sound techno-ish at all.

Fine...industrial then. The song Drive has more keyboards...

Just found out about this band Motograter. Very strange, they use this big machine called a motograter, it's like a big skeleton of a barrel with gears and chains all over it, and they look pretty weird too, tribal thing goin' on. Strange....

I just saw their video for the first time the other day, and they suck. Nothing debatable about it.

Just got the t.A.T.u. CD, 200km/h In The Wrong Lane. I listened through it once, and it's even better than I thought it would be. There's only 1 slow song on it, 30 Minutes, which feels like 30 minutes...
They're Not Gonna Get Us - great song, fast techno beat, classic europop
All The Things She Said - excellent song, you know this one...
Show Me Love - one of my favorite, slow and fast, emotional, really good
30 Minutes - a long ballad, meh...don't bother
How Soon Is Now? - starts off as a phone call, then slow song, then fast, really good techno song (if I can remember...I get this song and Show Me Love mixed up)
Clowns (Can You See Me Now?) - another fast tempo techno song, excellent, but the lyrics are monotonous.
Malckic Gay - I could only take the first minute, I didn't like it...it's about a gay boy and the music is weird...
Stars - I really don't know what to think, it's really slow music with fast rap in Russian...interesting, that's for sure.
Ya Shosla S Uma - All The Things She Said in Russian
Not Gonna Get Us in Russian is the next track
Show Me Love Extended Version

Overall, I'd say it's much faster than I'd expected, so I'm quite satisfied, $11.88 well spent. It's a much needed relief from my usual music.
I give it: 9/10
Pros: Fast, upbeat and melancholy, very emotional, far majority of songs are good
Cons: The paper thing in the CD case doesn't have too much in it. Lyrics often repeat one line over and over again, not a noticeable problem though, just a nitpick.

I also bought Raunchy - Velvet Noise, which I call Danish industrial metal. Haven't listened to it yet.

You give a CD a 9 even though two of the tracks suck?

Some CD's I've gotten recently (not that any of you care...):

The Books - Thought for Food
-Two guys: a guitarist and violinist. They create sometimes chill, sometimes schizophrenic music with guitar, violin, bass, assorted percussion, and audio samples. Extremely interesting.

Appleseed Cast - Low Level Owl Volume I
-I've never seen a CD comprised entirely of epics. Chill music for the most part, very melodic. Vocals are distant and for the most part incomprehensible. Good CD.

Califone - Quicksand and Cradlesnakes
-Alt-Folk music. Very country sounding (real country, not the Hallmark card bullshit on CMT or the radios). Real blue-collar lumberjack sorta shit. Amazing stuff.

Cap'n Jazz - Analphabetapolothology
-At first I had no idea what to think... It's sort of the holy grail of this indie generation. The band broke up without releasing anything, and their stuff has been put out posthumously into a double CD which spans their career. They're sloppy, the singer can't hit a pitch to save his life, etc. But the instrumentation is incredible and so is the singer (somehow, miraculously). Something that shouldn't fit together just, well, does.

If you're interested in hearing some recommendations of shit you don't know already, talk to me, tell me what kind of music you like, and chances are I'll have something. Just as long as it's not nu-metal.

Him who won't, they drag.
