That song is better than most of the misplaced "Hard Rock" genre.

Couple bands I've been getting into...

Decemberists - Fuzz-folk, amazing

Giddy Motors - Chaotic punk-rock with saxaphone

The Notwist (some of you would LOVE this) - German band (sing in English) with guitar, bass, drums and an electronic manipulator (named Console)... basically amounts to dreamy pop with vast texturous electronic sounds

Out Hud - Instrumental funk-rock wih electronic twists
The fates lead him who will;
Him who won't, they drag.

Sister Hazel:
*Your Mistake (the biggest song on their current album getting airtime)
*Life got in the way
*Killing me Too

and if you want a slow depressing song, try Best I'll ever be.

Oh, I think they're classified as Indie Rock if you want the genre.

To clarify, they have nothing to do with indie rock.

From what I've heard, Sister Hazel (a) is jam-bandy folk-rock and (b) sucks. Think Blues Traveller vocals over Hootie and the Blowfish with a hint of poppier Widespread Panic. Yeah. Exactly.

So in conclusion, go to:

http://www.notwist.com/flash/main.html

And click on the bottom-right floating link. It should open up an MP3 window with a song called "One With the Freaks." Get it. Now.
The fates lead him who will;
Him who won't, they drag.

Maybe I'm the odd one out here, but I can't put this track down right now:
Groove Armada - Think Twice

Features Neneh Cherry and is just a great chill-out tune. For something more 'pumping' though, how about...
Groove Armada - Madder

Both taken from the excellent 'Lovebox' album by Groove Armada. I'm quite a fan :)

Go on, give 'em a try! (dammit I sound like a salesman now)

Well, no one's really sure whether they are brother and sister or former husband and wife. Oasis has a few good songs but the rest suck.

Another band you might want to check out: Sratford 4. Go to:

http://www.stratford4.com/music.html

And get some of their songs.

I personally don't like them much but judging by your previously mentioned bands you may.

Also, if you are interested in something a little more adventerous, check out Liars. Go on Kazaa and get Liars - Mr. You're on Fire Mr. Their CD They Threw Us All in a Trench and Stuck a Monument on Top is one of my favorites. Check out my review here:

http://www.punknews.org/reviews.php?op= ... ew&id=1873

Come to think of it, there may be a few more bands you'd like:

The Mooney Suzuki. More straight-up-rock garage kinda thing.

Spoon. Go on Kazaa and get "The Way We Get By" and "All the Pretty Girls Go to the City." They're really good, if a little weird.
The fates lead him who will;
Him who won't, they drag.
