MARS

Postby TechMage » Aug 14, 2003 @ 8:14am

Ok, here is the picture of Mars and the Moon that I took back in July. I took about 15 shots, before I got a half decent picture. For some reason it is very hard for my digital camera to take pictures of the celestial bodies. In almost all the pics, either the Moon or Mars were smeared or had tracers behind them. This is the best picture out of all of them, but you can still see how misshapen the moon looks.

Luna (Moon) left, Mars right. In case you never look up or are incredibly stupid. :)

Try setting your digital camera on a tripod and increase the shutter time to over a minute. Try that, that might prove to work better.

I have done one of those pictures that shows the momvment of the stars. Using my SLR I set it up on a tripod looking up at the stars, you then open the shutter and leave it for ages, when you develop it if you have got a decent image you should see some funky trailing patterns as the stars have moved acroos the sky.

That site is either joking, or is far too serious. Regardless, The Passion is going to be a great movie, no doubt. I hope they leave the subtitles out.
