There is an easy solution to protect yourself and others. Get like 3 or 4 firewalls and don't allow any traffic unless you let it, that way you can stop it from sending itself if you get infected. The minor side effect to this is that nothing will work online or on the LAN, but hey.. some sacrifices have to be made.
