That's simplistic nonsense.
Even though the world probably would be better without Iran, America isn't going to openly attack it for a lot of reasons. This is just posturing. They've already de-WMD'ed one country in the region with posturing.
The WMD argument was not entirely significant in the US-justification for the war; but it did resonate well with the public, so they used it (more than they should have). Boo hoo, a politician played word games.
People who whine about the WMD thing are knit-picking; and I think they know it. You can keep saying WMD was the primary reason for the Iraq-invasion, but it won't make it true. It was one of the reasons.
I don't think Bush is presidential quality, but he made the right move with Iraq -- a move Clinton should have made, after Bush Sr. dropped the ball.
So no WMD hey? ...
