I'm using the little Kenwood one that came with my home theatere package. Oh well, it's still a blast playing Super Smash Bro Melee or Gauntlet on my cheap-o system. Good luck to you chuck!

yea, right now i have a jbl surround sound speaker set with my harman/kardon reciever, i can't complain about the speakers, but the sub is only an 8" and it's been noticably distressed during intense scenes in pearl harbor at high volumes. also, it just doesn't push enough sound, at 0+ decibels there's too much treble, so it's time to upgrade to what i'm hearing is the best sub under a grand. then it's time for floor standing speakers, but that's probably another year away. surround sound is so awesome.

Fantastic waste. I want one, though I could probably derive more satisfaction with the same money by buying two laptops for half the price over the lifetime of owning that system. Further, there's an opportunity cost avoided by not locking up your money into a system with quickly depreciating value.

The 9600 pro, for example, can be had in a Dell system with centrino tech for less than half that. Probably better battery life too. They've also got the new 9700. It would cost more though.

Still, that laptop looks pretty awesome, but I'd be embarassed to pull it out with girls around. You should get geek props though.

They dig TabletPCs more ... and cars. They really like cars, at least the ones that you'd want to have ride in your car.

Tablets? Really?
*Takes note*

I know they dig cars, but I'm a freshman so I don't have one yet. I don't even have me old Tosh lappie anymore..... *sigh* So I guess the PPC will have to suffice for now.

Girls like books on law and the Wall Street Journal.

The laptops... I don't know. Seems like pretty much everyone in my dorm has one.
