Radar Detector

Postby James S » Apr 22, 2004 @ 9:19pm

In an increasing number of states it has become illegal to drive slowly in the left hand lane. If you're driving in the left hand lane and you have a car tailgating you then the cop can now pull you over and ticket you for obstructing traffic flow.

Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

This is the BEST radar detector on the market. Ive had many radar detectors and now I have this one in the MINI and it is amazing. Not only does it have the longest range, it has 360 degree sensors and it tells you WHERE the radar is coming from..FRONT,SIDE, or BEHIND. This way you know where the cop is at all times, expecially if he is playing that "follow you, and clock you" game. Also tell you how many bogeys it is picking up, and you can send the radar detector back at any time to have it updated to the latest technology. I cant count how many times this thing saved my ass.

That being said, NOTHING will save your ass from laser. I have been lasered twice, one more time before December and I lose my license. Luckily most cops dont have laser yet.

There are laser diffusers that shift the laser beam so the cop doesn't get a reading. Kind of like the ones I posted earlier.

But if the cop is behind you he's already pacing you and doesn't need to clock you. That and the radar reflects off of cars infront of you and on road signs so you don't need a rear radar detector. A cop is only beside you for a split second, too. 96% of all radar is taken from in front of you.

The Valentine is software flash upgradable, though. So you will always have the latest guard features and such.
