Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

Not at all...I don't consider, nor would any thinking person consider, GWB a pure neocon. He fits the bill in foriegn policy (almost), but not in domestic (at least not totally). I love some things he does, and deplore others, but presidential candidates are never a choice between perfections.

And to you, Andy, nice troll.

faith is far from an escape mechanism, that's the very unscientific and, if you'll allow me to throw this word out once again, myopic thinking of Freud. Faith is rather defined as a concern that takes precendence over other concerns, and that encompasses those concerns in such a way that it is built from them. Faith in Christianity, for example, is a concern for the wellbeing of mankind, generally made up of concerns about the health and wellbeing of those around you and the importance of the infinitude of their existence. A person like the President should fucking better be concerned about the wellbeing of those around him: the people in his nation and of the relationship with other nations.

This does not negate the fact that some people use religion quite radically. But I will not have you misportraying the basic elements of faith. That is ignorant. I would greater illucidate the difference between science and religion for you as well, but cannot at the moment. Rest assured that it is vast, and only perverted faith is at odds with the reason of scientific thought.
