My girlfriend is an old-time technohead, and she'll often grab an hour of streaming audio with AudioGrabber, to throw into her MP3 player for jogging the next day:

http://www.di.fm/wma/classictechno.asx

Fairly driving beats, if at times a little spaced while they blend trax. I think there's a higher-res version or a bunch, but forget the page. Anyway, plug your PPC into your stereo and crank it up with this playing and you'll have commercial-free techno of reasonable quality.

She's also introduced me to DJ Krush, at times fairly intense. And I'm even groovin' the odd time to vintage YMO, but don't tell anyone.

[Edit; found the better grade techno stream - http://205.188.234.65:8020 - plays phenomenally well in GSPlayer over Wi-Fi.]

Oh yeah. The Blur; my dad was a racist-mouthed asshole too, but I know that deep down he was a great guy. It's just too bad he felt the need to perpetuate the fallacies and ridiculous tribal vindictiveness of his father and those before him. At least my dad treated Jews, Chinese, Italians, and all the rest he'd insult verbally with decency and respect in terms of business dealings and helping them out when they needed it. Generosity almost made it possible to ignore the trash talk.

Just saying, if you want to be respected, consider that the words you utter have power, and that can be used for ill or good. Your choice.

If anybody tries to call you square
You just look 'em in the eye, tell 'em you don't care!
If you don't want to be a crazy fool
You better study real hard and stay in school!
