I've not needed to restore my M1300 Tablet ever. I bought a CD drive for it last summer because I had the money, but rarely use it. The only time I've used it in the last year is to convert my music CDs to MP3, to look at some art prints from my Art History book, and to work on a Chemistry lab assignment.

Ohh yeah, that Fujitsu is a good choice, too. I didn't know about it. It has a modular bay for a second battery which means 4.8 hours * 2. And apparently it's not big or heavy or anything. And since you might develop on it, a keyboard would be nice.
Looks to be within your budget if US$ -> EURO is accurate.

Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

Well really I want one with a UK keyboard. There's not all that much difference twixt a UK and a US, but that's actually more annoying than a totally different layout, I find.

I'm talking to another suppiler now. It's more expensive but it looks like they really do have them in stock (probably only because they are more expensive, of course)... and they may even ship it out to me directly rather than me having to get it to somebody in the UK who'll ship it out to me. :) Fingers crossed.

Canadian and US keyboards are basically the same. I'm not aware of any differences, unless you buy an "en francais" edition.
