So far ... i.e. the last 111 popes have fit St. Malachi's prophecy.
Benedict will only live like 4 years. He's already 3 years past the mandatory retirement age for cardinals, and a year past the average age of male death. He's also not in good health. Only reason he's still around is because John Paul 2 had him in Rome as his personal doctrinal consultant.
I personally think that, of all the Christian denominations, Catholicism has it most right ... just not when it comes to details. Protestant churches have more of the details right (i.e. more accepting socially and less strict), but they don't have the doctrine as clear (acts are important).
