Just a guess, but some are automatic watches (i know the orange monster and citizen diver are) so will stop if you don't wear them for a while

That's correct; those two are automatic watches. They run only if you wear them or put them on a winder. Not much of a problem though since I like to sync them with the atomic clock anyway, so winding them is little exra effort.

Say Glen... how'd you know that Seiko is called a Monster? Closet-WIS? :D
