college kids

RIT isn't bad, I'll look into it. Northeastern is having an Engineering Day on 11/15, I'll be going to that. WPI has an open house tomorrow, but I didn't sign up, but they have another on 11/11, so I'll be sure to go to that. As for male-female ratios, WPI is 73% guys, but RPI is 81% guys, so yeah, there's 4 girls at RPI :?. Northeastern actually has more girls than guys .

My dad demands that I go to UMASS Amherst, but I don't want to, I mean, Massachusetts made it ILLEGAL for UMASS to say that they give a "good education". My dad just keeps using his arguement of "You learn what you put into it, the school doesn't matter". I disagree, UMASS is not a science school (it's ranked as one of the top party schools), it's a school for people that don't know what they want to do, and they can't get into any other college. He just wants me to go there because it's stupidly cheap. $4000 a year with room and board. He just cares about price, that's it. He actually wants me to go to Mexico for college, that's ridiculous. Actually, he looked into a college in Ecuador, I'm not going to study chemical engineering in Ecuador... :?

Oh well, we'll see. My dad says that any college that charges money is too expensive. My dad always brags about how he had to pay ALL of his college, HE HAD FULL TUITION AND LIVED AT HOME! He got full tuition because his sister worked there. Pithetic.

I'm goin' out to take the final PSAT tomorrow, what excitement! I took the practise PSAT in English class, and on JUST the English part (remember that I suck ass at English and don't care at all) and got a 1220, that's pretty good for my standards! I'm aiming for a total of 1600-1700 tomorrow, we'll see, but the school is making us take it at 7:45AM! That's just mean. ON A SATURDAY!

How can you get a 1220 on just the English part? That's almost twice the highest score! And the Practice Practice SAT? What the junk!? :D 1600-1700? The highest you can get is 1600! Man! Those powerplants even mutated your tests!

Yeah I took a real SAT from a book for this class, and I got a 730 with no preparation on English (perfect = 800). Math is slightly less flattering at 600. I suck at math, but after this guy teaches me all of the 'standard' SAT math problems, I expect to get around a 700 on that. I got a 1330 overall on this one, my goal is at least 1500. We'll see.

My goal was 1440, but I didn't study or anything, so... pooh.
