Kosher is of religious significance. It's a way of being 'clean,' not eating unclean or bloody or not cooked or et cetera. It originated in the Old Testament, so ya... And you salt meat to keep it, I'm pretty sure they didn't have a means to refridgerate it.
And what's this "Mose (if not all) Christian holdiays are based on mythic stories, while Jewish holidays are on fac." What kind of self-righteous, Christian bashing statement is that? Jesus' birthday is a fact. Jesus' resurrection is pretty verifiable, I'd call it fact. What other "Christian" holidays are you talking about? Do you consider Valentine's Day a Christian Holiday? How about Labor Day? That one's not based on "fact." it's just an abitrary holiday.
