My public apology for Dan east

Yeah that's the one

Postby Guest » Dec 11, 2002 @ 12:15am

There's two more in the Off Topic section. There are a few bad apples at our forum and it's for them we apologize. It could have happened alot differently if the guy who made the first comment had just asked instead of coming out with "Oh the man is getting down on me. Why are you being so oppressive?" hmmmmm.

Sorry forgot to sign in. ctcost

So that's how you BE people treat developers? No wonder no-one developes for it. You have forum admins who are complete assholes.

And I thought the PM forums were bad. This place is heaven compared to those BE300 forums!

LOL, That Goo person is such an ignorant ass. He can't take ANY criticism at all, even constructive. He'll never improve himself or his software if he ignores the most influencial developer the PDA market has today.

Dan is such the bigger man. I didn't even expect him to provide an update, but look at that. He did! You see, I told you Dan East is the best person I'm aware of in the world today. John Esposito is second on my list.

He's a little tyrant. But if someone wanted to put him in his place (and make some decent money off the deal) Full Windows CE 3.0 for (alot) of BE 300 users would do the trick....if it's possible

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. A majority of BE-300s are running his OS. He now has a god complex that won't quit.

Yes it is sad when people have to resort to things such as what started this mess, well on my forum groom-family.com that was one person that started this.

I just hope that my forum is not judged by the actions of a few. We have had to deal with the dregs of humanity and we are still working to further the BE-300 community. Though it seems that many of the people that were on our forum have left to start their own cult.

Well now that I have been running my own forum for awhile I know that people act up from time to time but when there is bashing of a fine developer that does make a good product for any PDA they deserve some measure of respect and Dan is one of those. He has not from what I hear engaged in any activities to try and alienate any other developers.

Well we are all lead to believe that he paid for the the full version of some developers "kit/box/whatever" to be able to develop this not to sell but donations are supposed to be ok. Though it seems currently that only those that have donated and of those the ones he deems good enough to be able to get access to the "new" version that is rumored to be going around, but the general public has only seen screen shots of. As we all know that have been around PC's more than a few months know too well that pcitures are too easily modified to hold any real value.

I will add that Dan has looked into a few things and when he finds something he lets all know how he did something so that everyone can check his work for themselves. This is the type of person that brings a good name to developers of any platform.
