Gameboy games run full speed, Gameboy Advanced runs at a tenth a frame a second.

Actually, I ALMOST played Mario Advance a few days ago! I gave up after the menu though, as I couldn't get into the game in a sane amount of time.

Two cupcakes were in an oven. One turned to the other and said "Damn, it sure is hot in here" and the other one said "HOLY SHIT! A TALKING CUPCAKE!"

Randall once told me that it would be simple port to a GBA because the processers are the same.

The processor's instruction set is the same. That means to emulate a GBA you won't have to code in an abstraction layer to intrepret the language the game uses to the language the CPU uses. But that doesn't mean that one won't have to emulate the sound chips, the video chips, control chips, memory chips, and every other little piece of silicon inside the GBA.

whoever wanted the backlit gba, just wait for the new one (with the clamshell design) coming out in march, it has a light and it is cheaper than a gba with afterburner.

VI: Agreed. Unless you already have a GBA, or don't like the new one, you should get an Afterburner.

If I'm not mistaken, the GBA ARM chip uses the THUMB instruction set, something that the PPC does not. Or the other way around. In any case, there's a rather large difference in the processors. Then as Moose said, there's the sound, etc.

By the way, it's easy to port an emulator, but you'd be emulating the ARM chip on an ARM chip. An interpeter would be quite a bit easier than normal/

Screw gba. GO GAMEGEAR AND NOMAD!!!
If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.

If you fart consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb.
