Oh and sorry Benkenobi0 for insulting you. When I said ridiculas I was pointing at the general attitude of Christians today, not specificly you or anyone else.

Moose, I don't know what your instructor taught you in your Old Testament class, but please remember that all teachers are bias. I go to college too, and I don't know how many times I have noticed that a teacher skips or takes on only one side of a subject. Start reading books (or even search on the internet) on the ancient middle east. You think you know so much, but you don't. A good place to start is here.

This is a really cool site and magazine. The articles are written by all kinds of people (Christians, Jews, people of other religions, Agnostics, and Atheists), so you know that you are getting all kinds of viewpoints. :)

No, my intstructor was biased and not for the side of religion. He was constantly saying how there were holes in the Bible and stuff. I saw what he was talking about ... but it just wasn't a hole like he was saying. Like how there are supposedly two accounts of creation in Genesis and that they're completely opposite. They were very opposite, but they really didn't sound like two different forms of creation that cancelled each other out.

Like how the Pentatuch is the "Five Books By Noah" but that they speak of Noah' death, but it's actually translated "Five Books OF Noah."

I'm not ignorant, and I don't appreciate you changing the tone of this thread to hostility when it was so nice and intellectual. We were speaking about what the principles of Christianity are and how Christians act and why. Not if it's got some (in my opinion, insignificant) holes.
