Moose, I don't know what your instructor taught you in your Old Testament class, but please remember that all teachers are bias. I go to college too, and I don't know how many times I have noticed that a teacher skips or takes on only one side of a subject. Start reading books (or even search on the internet) on the ancient middle east. You think you know so much, but you don't. A good place to start is here.
This is a really cool site and magazine. The articles are written by all kinds of people (Christians, Jews, people of other religions, Agnostics, and Atheists), so you know that you are getting all kinds of viewpoints.
