You may have a "choose" in Christianity (as with most religions), but ultimately, if you don't believe in god, then guaranteed damnation? That doesn't seem like a fair choose.
If there is a heaven and hell and stuff, then where were we before we were born? Now this all has to do with the conscience of the brain, we don't know what happened before we were born, because our brains didn't exist. Now, SCIENTIFICALLY, our brains have MORE cells in it that there are stars in our galaxy. That means it's frickin' complex, and we don't know much about it, but I think as we learn more, we'll start to see what really happens before we're born, because how can the brain just start up like that? And have a feeling of an independent being? But actually, I did a current event paper on this a few weeks ago, if you stimulate the "angular gyrus" of our brain (this part deals with sense of balance, some memory, and sense of 1st person view), you will have an "out of body experience", because your sense of 1st person view and balance are nullified, and you see your legs and torso from a 3rd person view, even though you've never moved. I'd like to try that some day

.
So if heaven is like a totally different universe, where all the dimentions are different, there's something else than matter, so it's COMPLETELY different, then what does hell look like? If I was religious, I'd think that heaven would be what you want it to be. I'd want it to be Earth, really, just have all pacifist and nice people. And have a million planets around Earth that are like it, except more cultures and people (or silly looking aliens). I just can't wait for the day when we discover an extraterrestrial culture, because it's a whole history of another planet. I just can't accept that the history of the universe is the history of Earth, that we're alone, because that would mean that the biggest story in the universe is that sniper guy and that Bush is going to attack Iraq. I believe that some planet out there is probably undergoing a world nuclear war and a whole civilization may be dying RIGHT NOW! And we don't know about it. Moose's god may be...well..GOD, but my god is the universe. When I look up, I don't see ethereal godly stuff, I see civilizations, cultures, and people out there that we don't know about yet.
