Damian, I see you have some good taste in music! Godspeed You! Black Emperor is great (well, with the exception of Yanqui UXO - that thing moved like a glacier). But Lift Yr. Skinny Fists was incredible, as was their EP.

If you like them, definitely check out A Silver Mt. Zion, especially He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corners of Our Rooms. Otherwise, Mogwai's Young Team and Set Fire to Flame's Sings Reign Rebuilder are similar and similarly great CD's.
