Today was the first day back to school for me. And you know what's really good? So far, there's no skinheads or any of my enemies in any of my classes so far. The bad thing, sophomore year is the hardest year in high school. Insane amount of homework, unfair teachers (so far only my Bio teacher, who's insane), and MCAS!

For anyone who lives in Massaschusetts, you'll know the infamous MCAS quite well. It's a standardized test in 4th, 8th, and 10th grade. For the one in 10th, if you don't pass (failing is below a 78% in 2 sections of 4), who don't get a diploma, instead you get a "certificate a general education." And can you get into college with that? Hell no! Not even community college, because you technically never graduated! So if you don't pass this insane 2 week long non-stop all day test (it's said to be the most unfair standardized test in the US), you end up bagging groceries til you're really really really old, then you'll be one of those really old people that give out happy face stickers at Walmart.

Oh well, the teachers and students say junior year is the easiest year, so I have something to look forward too. Oh, and if you were wondering, the homework I got for the first day of school was, read Chapter 1 in Biology book (12 pages, super tiny text, took 3 hours), write a paper about a current event related to biology (this is once a week), and write a 150 word paper about myself for French, in French. Oh well, at least I get to take drivers ed this year! YAY!
