Interesting pro-war article from one of my favorite bands, Dismemberment Plan. Pro-war stances are extremely rare in independent music, and he's surely taking a hit for this (akin to the person who anonymously wrote in their pro-war stance in my school newspaper), so it's really pretty valiant.

And just a sample of backlash...

I love how pitchfork said "flaunting" instead of "flouting"...that's some fuuny shit. morons.

Its nice to see the people on the other side speak out.

Is it just me or is CNN completely biased?

75% of Americans support the war, yet there is tons of coverage for the anti-war protest and near none for pro-war. They supposedly said something tonight that made it sound like the pro-war demonstrations were as big as anti-war...and they must have appologized for it a hundred times already.

Booing at hockey games...

Postby Chris Edwards » Mar 23, 2003 @ 8:54am

Have you guys heard about the booing at the Montreal/Eastern Canada hockey games during the American anthem? It makes me mad. Anyways, I just thought I'd let you know, that here in western Canada (Calgary Flames vs. Nashville Predators) tonight the stadium was filled with cheers during the American anthem. We cheered more for the American anthem than the Canadian one ;).

It's them damn communists in Eastern Canada... grrr...

BTW: The American anthem is way better then the Canadian one.

"Have ya ever noticed how North Edinburgh putts like this? And how South Edinburgh putts like this? Eh? Eh?"
