I have received a call today from my chemistry teacher notifying me that the administration will not allow me and my group to construct this coilgun. This came as a major blow, so now we're deciding on some kind of compromise. There's another type of linear magnetic accelerator that uses momentum and no electricity. Here:

This type is obviously much slower, but it'll do the job, quieter and simpler. Not as exciting, but whatever. We still may make the coilgun later as a fun thing and for extra credit.

No, you people don't understand, the administration of my school is terribly mentally inept! For next year, I am taking only a half year of PE, and Guidance knows that. But then I go there and their like "wah?", so after about 1 month of this crap with them (also, more importantly, I need a directed study for next year so I can do the work for Chemistry at Worcester State College), and they don't understand a thing! I've talked with them at least 8 times, and yet, nothing. They always say they have to get approval from someone else. So I talk to that someone else, and they said that the first person never talked to them! And this has been going on for 4 months!! Last time I was at Guidance, I had to wait 30 minutes for the stupidass counsler to stop talking about PUPPIES!! That's ALL they do! The principal is being stupid too, the guidance says she needs to write a letter saying that I can have a half year of PE next year, but the principal says she doesn't need to...NOBODY EVER TALKS TO EACHOTHER!! It's amazing! They don't do ANYTHING! Everyone (including teachers) call the administration the "drones", because they don't do anything! About a week ago, I was called down to guidance. When I got there, they didn't know why I was there; I said because they called me down. Took them 20 minutes to remember why they called me down. Then they start talking about French 4, ummm, why? I tell them that this is probably about the directed study, and they're like "directed study?". OMFG! I've talked to the stupid counceler soooo many times about this! And she still doesn't know or do CRAP about it!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!

eh? how many semesters of PE are you supposed to take? The standard for Indy is 1 credit, which is two semesters.
