Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

If you still expect a teacher to increase your knowledge of C++ (or anything else, for that matter), you're not ready to leave HS. You are ready to vote socialist, though.

In my experiences, HS is more of a certificate of your capacity to handle bullshit than it is a certificate of basic knowledge. Quiting HS is stigmatic; your parents know that. You can't blame them for not wanting you to put yourself at a disadvantage so early in life.

Dude, what are you talking about. The whole point of a teacher is so you can ask questions and see several examples. That's something a book could never do.

I had taught myself more of the C++ language by age 14 than I've ever got out of any computer science class. A good teacher is convenient; but not a necessity. If you're going through life depending on other people -- you're going to find coming up short is a recurring theme in your life.

Well, I don't know about you, but when I got to the point of all the disk writing and hardware junk, and structured coding, blah blah, it was just over my head. Just like when I tried to learn Qbasic in 7th grade, it was over my head back then. If I look at it now, its unbelievably easy. Maybe next year my intelligence will catch up with me.

To address your question:

I took the exit exam last year, its cake.
you shouldn't even worry about it, instead be glad that instead of being in class you are wasting time fooling around. The administration of it was so bad, people were cheating and doing some talking.
