Andrew WK. I'd name a song, but all of his songs sound the same to me.

I'll look into Soilwork, but I know Cradle of Filth, Sponge. Download Everything I - Lollipop Lust Kill, it's so good! You can get it from mp3.com.

SKREWDRIVER! HELL NO! How could you even suggest such racial skinhead music?! Shame on you! Resistance Records should be outlawed and disbanded! AHH!!

Dropkick Murphys? That's what the preppy kids listen to. :?

no, listen to the albums prior to boots and braces... they have a good sound and are not racist.

and dropkick murphy's is popular, but they are really good and still hardcore.

ohh, btw, i'm almost done with my jacket.. i decided to use cones spikes. its looking nice, i'll just have to steal some patches off of my friends, or buy 'em online.

Warren, amen on all of that. Punk crap. Everthing I is a pretty good song, nothing that's really catchy, but still very good.

Punkrock is the best! Notice I say punk ROCK, with an emphasis on rock. Some of the best bands out there: Turbonegro, New Bomb Turks, Rocket From the Crypt, The Hellacopters, Puffball, Randy, The Hives, No Knife.

Also indie pop rock is great: Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, The Flaming Lips.

I'm also a huge fan of Coldplay. At first I hated them because of their high-voiced British pop sound. But once I looked past my bias I found they were one of the better bands I've ever heard.

I also like one jazz band: Galactic. It's like modern jam-band-jazz. Amazing.

I hate metal, I hate most mainstream rap, I hate R&B more than anything.

And Warren, "Dropkick Murphys... that's what the preppy kids listen to :\" Hahahahaha, wouldn't wanna ruin your deathmetal image with such a pussy band!!! Yeah just kidding if you couldn't tell.
The fates lead him who will;
Him who won't, they drag.

Not heard the version of Stripped by Kent (got hte Rammstein version though :D).. but I can see why people would say they're plain.. but I think I like them because of that. They have a nice, uncomplicated, clean sound, but it's intricate if you listen to it.

Would anybody be interested if I set up a file exchange somewhere that we could all swap single songs from artists we like..? If we all upload our favourite songs from a few artists we like then we'd get a nice cross-section of "different" music to listen to, I reckon. It's probably better than pot-luck stuff from Kazaa/EDonkey anyway..

that would be cool, although I am going to install KaZaA right now to look up some of the stuff in this thread and the german 'techno' thread. :)

Refractor: That's what made me check out the other versions. I'd agree with Depeche Mode, R+'s version is the most powerful for one :P

DC hub! A PM Direct Connect hub would be cool, password protected so only people who visit here/sign up get in.
