My school has TWO T1 lines, except when people are using it download speeds drop to about 1.5kbps, 'cause they virus check everything downloaded... and loads of kids play flash games non stop.

Fortunately, I have a satellite connection at home.

About the topic - I think that Warren probably missed it, but I do agree with him. Although there are some games that just base on mindless violence. Like the first "Carmageddon", banned in few countries and corrected in latest versions [when SCi found out, that bloody body parts flying all over the screen won't be enough for many players, they added some elements that needed IQ higher that 10.] :]

As for me [UT lover :]], the foe can just even disappear with no gore scenes, if that could end this polemic :/

Ive heard that satellite is ok for downloading, but horrible for playing games. Like 500 or higher ping in every game. Its worse than dial-up for god sakes!

I've experiance having satelite for a month. It's true. Upload speed = close to zero.
