Why is Russia in NATO? The North Atlantic part of it is basically meaningless now, the whole point of the organization is for peace purposes.

I'm kind of surprised that Lieberman hasn't received any votes in this little poll... not too surprised, but still a little.

I see that some people are comparing what Bush wanted to do post 9/11 and what he did after 9/11. Bush didn't know that this war was coming, so obviously he wasn't making plans to fight one, so education had to go on the back burner.

And how would Iraq show that they were a global threat? I doubt Saddam would get on TV and say, "We are going to blow the living stuffing outta all of you! We are a global threat!" No. He would attack, and we wouldn't know until it was too late, millions dead, a once great country in ruins. Bush did a very good job on preserving innocent lives in Iraq. Open your eyes people, people are not nice to each other, and a perfect world is not possible. It's either kill or be killed.

And you can't blame the deaths at Vietnam on Bush, he had nothing to do with that. If only we were allowed come in full force, the lives that could have been saved....

I wish I could have worded this better, but hopefully I got my point across.

I didn't blame the deaths in Vietnam on Bush. And you're right, he didn't have anything to do with that, he went AWOL for how long? My point was that, just because the government commits to an act--does not mean that the act is either okay or the best choice.

Do you realize how weak Iraq is? Why do you think it was so easy for us to run in there and kick the shit out of them? Iraq wasn't a credible threat.

Sure people aren't nice to one another. That doesn't make using American lives and resources when it's not needed okay.
