You know all those sniper attacks near D.C.?

Jesus, he has not missed in 11 attacks, and has killed 9/11 victims without (probably) using an illegal and highly specialized weapon and while his targets were moving. The man is an incredible shot. He is also incredibly adept at getting away (they still haven't caught him). He could go down as one of the most prolific serial killers in history. By the miniscule leads they seem to have, I wouldn't be surprised to see him kill many more times.

Thats what i cant see is why he would mod an ak-74 when he can just use standard rounds for it. It IS most likely a HUNTING rifle. A moving target is hard to kill, but not impossible. With the range he is shooting at it would be quite easy if he had any expirience at all (most of the shots werent head shots but body/chest shots which is MUCH easier to hit). I wouldnt be suprised if it was an ar15 or m4 though

It has aim point as you can see. I got this off a site full of gun nuts. I thoought The ar15 was banned on the federal level. The ones after the ban were modified quite heavily. I think the version the sniper MAY be using has the small clip(5-10 rnds) instead of the full 30 round clip thats pictured here.

Mike, I give you points for knowing that a Galile is Israeli.

I don't think it is a Galile, actually that was my point that those are the only weapons made for 5.56x45 and that they were all rare but the AR, which is why I think it is an AR. Plus the Galile is a big piece of POOP!

I don't think that a hunting rifle is impossible, I just can't think of one chambered in 5.56x45, that is why I asked.

And, yeah, I changed my name for sheer recognition :-D

The Galilee assault rifle has never been the best, yet it definitely does look cool.

The Israeli IMI UZI is of course the best, even for snipering it's good. And I REALLY doubt the sniper guy would use an Israeli gun...

Well, the guy that said it was an AK-74, and said about the white truck turns out to be a fraud. Now the police have nothing.

Warren, THE IMI UZI!?!?! Are you ok? Man, that thing is a bigger piece of crap than the Galile...and that's saying a lot! I mean for the whole spray-and-pray thing sure, but not for accuracy.

Now, back to galile bashing. The Israelis made that thing and now THEY don't even use it anymore. Talk about a piece o' shit.
