I have AT&T broadband as well, and it gets "officially" 1.5 megabits/second download, 300kbits/sec upload, but I've achieved greater than that for both. (the modem's hardware is capable of 3 megabits download and like something like 700k upload or something) I've heard that you can also hack your cable modem to unlock that 3 megabits, but I've heard of people getting caught and I like my broadband, I'm not willing to risk it being taken away

. I often get up to 1000 times the download speed from KAZAA at home with AT&T broadband than I get at my college dorm LAN connection, even when using the same exact downloads/number of people. It's pretty sad. 1000 times. I've calculated it.
