Ya, take a look at PDAi.org and PocketMatrix.com. See how simple and organized, yet easy to navigate they are. The title graphic of the website should NOT be the largest thing on the page. In fact, it should be the smallest. And I agree, why do you need java buttons? Look at how nice PocketMatrix looks, and is no frivolous 3D logo that takes up the entire window and no funky colored links or anything. Just plain, simple, functional.
