Another nice post, Sandy - you seem to be veering towards the refreshingly pragmatic these days and I tend to agree with an awful lot of the stuff you write.
Anyway, so far as the discussion is concerned, being socially introverted works well for me. A lot of people pigeon-hole me into some sort of "anti-social" slot because I hate parties, hate socialising, and really don't have the time of day for mind-numbingly tedious smalltalk or the general rampant consumerism that people (at least around here) go for. The thing is that I can it.. I just choose not to.
Just because people aren't out partying every day, or talking all day every day doesn't make them outcasts or anti-social.
