ok I have mandrake 9.1 installed (much differnt from 8.1) But my graphics are skippy (during 3d accelerated games) My only guess is that it thinks its a radeon 9700 (when it's a 9500 pro). Where can I find some good ati drivers for linux (the ones on the ati site are for xfree 2.1, and mandrake 9.1 comes with xfree 4.1 I think)

oops I meant 4.2 and I have 4.3 :P there doesnt seem to be a way to downgrade either. Anyone have any ideas?

Dunno... you can try installing an mdk RPM of XFree 4.2, or you can just wait for ATI to release their 4.3 drivers.

But that's weird... my GF2 GTS works without a glitch in 3D. Not like I actually play any 3D games under Linux save Tuxracer.
