yes its redesigned... just because someone wrote "lets play pokemon" on the DS screens chat mode, does not mean it looks like a childs toy. Besides, the DS can do more than chat (which is infact something the PSP cannot, once they can hookup to distant DS systems through wifi, it will be a handy feature). I mean if this is the best sony fans can do to promote the PSP...

Last night I went to my brother to celibrate my cousin's birthday, and when we (me and my family) drove back home I raced a couple of tracks (on my PSP that is

). When I turned my screen on I just had to look away, so bright as it was! Ok now back on topic, I don't have any problems playing a game on my PSP, and so far I didn't even looked where I have to sit to not have problems with sunlight or something like that. The PSP does look shiny or whatever you want to call it. I have no idea how they did it, but you actually don't (or barely) notice it when playing. Maybe it's because of that huuuge kickass screen that you just forget about the rest

Actually, if the screens folded up nicely into a compact design like the SP, it would be pretty cool.
