Why do I work hard? Mmmmaybe because I want to succeed?! Sandmann, you're like those idiots that go by that saying at my school "why work if you're just going to die someday". Yup, real healthy~~ Why not care? I have plans for the future, and they rely on acedemic success. I don't want to go to Harvard, I actually want to go to Worcestor Polytechnic Institute (WPI) here in Mass; it's one of the best engineering schools in the country. It's not hard to get in.
Sandmann, right now, I'm taking a test to determine if I'll be allowed pass high school. I care about it, and am taking it very seriously. It's a hard test, even for me, and I want to do as good as I can. Stressing does not lead to failure, some people work better under stress. I work at about the same level under stress than without any. Why do I do all this work? Maybe because I want to. Don't you ever get the satisfaction of completing an assignment? Getting a 100%? If I study for a test, and get a 100%, I have more satisfaction than if I don't study, and still get a 100%. Sometimes it's good to have an ego, not to show off, but to have satisfaction in personal success.
I'm not stressed about that one question on the MCAS test, it's only 1 out of 51, and it's only the second part of the question, so it would only be half off. The History part is said to be the worst part of the test (it was in 8th grade), 76% fail rate, 23% pass, 1% advanced. In math, it's 42% fail, 45% pass, 13% advanced. In 8th grade, I got advanced in math and science, and pass in english and history. 10th MCAS counts, so I'm aiming to get the same as in 8th grade. Why not strive to do the best? It won't kill you. I spent 3 hours on that one problem, why? Because I wanted a perfect score, but the asses that made the test made a question that's impossible to get right. I'd say I'll still make advanced, the rest was easy for me (I use CAD software very often, so I know geometry like I know Paul's LG

Overall, Sandmann, you're wrong. Do the best you can, why not? You only live once, make the best of it. Plan for the future and set goals. And always strive for your best. Seriously. Like hell I'm going to miss an assignment, that causes stress, completing the assignment eliminates it. How do I deal with stress? I suck it up and do it! I don't cry about it, I don't procrastinate! Just do it!
