First-person shooters lately have been geared toward SWAT team co-op stuff, and I don't really care for that, I'll get Splinter Cell, but that's it. You know what we need, a World War I game, really, we have so many WWII games, why not WWI? MOHAA was a great game, and I like SP rather than MP because of story lines and there's actual thinking in it, so I will still need Spearhead. I'm in the mood for Duke Nukem Forever, a semi-futuristic stupid fun game. OH!! I know, Serious Sam II, I have that game but it never worked on my Compaq, now I'll get to play it now! The graphics may be bad for today, but it's better than anything I've played before.
Planetside will be good, that's like a new Tribes game. NLF2 is good for a more realistic FPS. Splinter Cell is more serious, Unreal 2K3 and 2 are also kind of serious... I still feel like something is missing from my list...
Freelancer isn't going to be the ultimate space sim, it doesn't have a radar!!! How can you tell where enemies and stuff are!! Microsoft intentionally made the game for "newbies" who want to start playing space sims. Jeez, space sims are meant to be overly complex, remember X-Wing vs TIE Fighter? EVERY SINGLE button on the keyboard did something, and so did combined with shift, control, and alt! I can't wait til X2 comes out, that looks like the veteran space sim enthusiast's game. Here's the to see more on X2. Ugh, Freelancer, ALL the spacecrafts are exactly the same, in speed and manueverability, it's just how they look is what's different.
