Yep the world's insane, including you and me. You guys seem fairly objective and scientific for christians, so keep reading on the occult. It involves lot of study, but it's quite interesting. The "occult" (which means hidden, like hidden knowlede), is a whole body of different religious and philosophical ideals dealing with magic (or as you'll soon find out, "magick"), spirits, Jungian psychology, paganism, vampirism, etc, and has it's darker and lighter sides. Most modern spell casters (aka wizards, sorcerers, ceremonial magicians, witches, etc) view magick as more of a psychological practice, than supernatural. If you want to read up on it try typing these words in a search engine:

Wicca
Chaos Magick
Ceremonial Magick
The Goetia
Aleister Crowley
The Golden Dawn
Modern Shamanism
The Kaballah

Although I'm not an occultist myself, I like to read about this stuff and kind of think of myself as an amature scholar on the occult.

As far as my personal beliefs about this stuff goes, I have no clue weither it's real or not as I'm an Agnostic.
