SimCity 4

SimCity 4

Anyone played it yet?

It is very very cool. Though, it takes a LOT of horsepower to run it.

Ya, it does take a lot to run it. But miraculously the Compaq TC1000 TabletPC with Geforce2Go 100 GPU seems to run it adequately (along with other games like Jedi Knights II, Max Payne, and Freelancer).

I haven't played it yet, though. I hear that it's not as good as SimCity 3000. They changed a couple things which made the game harder or something like that :? I don't know, I could never do well in SimCity3000 or 2000, so.... There was an old thread on this game created before it was released.

Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

Anybody remember the old SC3K that was never released? You could zoom into street level, and the Sims actually looked real somewhat. I can scan some screenshots if anyone is interested.

Wish I knew how to program better, I would try to make something like that for PPC and probably fail miserably :?
