Bah, don't talk about ADSL. The company I use just slapped a 25GB/month quota on me. Wankers. Now I have to sort out leaving them and going to another company.

I can't get ADSL in Devon so I'm on a satellite connection - 2MB/s down, 56K up, but at least not quotas. I have unlimited use.

If anyone has any experience with WinProxy, or proxy software in general, is is possible to set the proxy software to use the external proxy "proxy.eutelsat.net" and exclude "sdr.eutelsat.net" (that's the 56k return path.) I can do it within the browsers on the client machines, but on other software it uses the 56k. (Which, rather astonishingly, has increased in speed to 20KB/s on downloads... must be BT trying to get me back to them.) But I'd rather have 200KB/s on all my downloads ;)

I am on 1.5 down/ 256 up adsl, and i like it. Except for the 3 weeks were i was getting 200k up and down, it has worked great.
