I want to do something similar to what windows media player does. I started to use WMP 9 to rename my songs but their database only has one genre for latin songs and that is "Latin". I have my latin songs split up in their respective genre and if I enable WMP9 to rename my songs it replaces the genres that I set, which totally screws up my automatic playlists. So far I havent seen a way to limit what information WMP changes.
I just want to create a program similar to what WMP9 does. By looking at the artist name and song title, it will automatically update its release date, album title, track info, etc. I would also give the option to limit what is updated. Maybe a winamp plugin that would automatically do that once a song is played.

Meh, WMP doesn't encode Vorbis so it's not really useful. I juse use grip with oggenc. It automatically gets everything from CDDB, and allows me to set up the filenames, tags, and directories just how I want them.

Besides space concerns, is there ANY real reason to use Ogg?
