Budget and desire finally met and I ordered a Motion M1300 TabletPC ( http://www.motioncomputing.com ). The model I ordered has a 900MHz Centrino Processor, 768MB of RAM, and a 40GB hard drive.

If anyone is interested in my true opinion of a TabletPC after I receive it then I'd be happy to honestly oblige your request. If no one cares then I Won't bother collecting my thoughts into this thread. If anyone else is interested in TabletPCs then I'd be happy to give you my experiences.

Go ahead, there will be someone interested in the future about one of MS' only failed hardware prospects :P

That would be the HPC, the TabletPC is pretty popular actually. You're just far too slashdot jaded for anything Microsoft.

Oh yeah, I know whole lot of people taht want to pay $200 extra to get the keybored taken off their laptop.

So that it can be used anywhere with one hand instead of having to be sitting with the laptop resting on a level surface.

You can have your laptop in your hand, and type with the other.

I wouldn't call that jaded at all, and it goes completly against your claim of being popular at this point in time.
