Better E-mail methods?

Is there any other e-mail synchronizer that is easier to use than outlook? Outlook's organization methods are really getting on my nerves. I'm trying to create separate inboxes, and for some reason it wont let me. When I send/receive it does all of at the same time--which is good. However, when it sends, it always sends under one name, which isnt good. I want each account to be a unique sender. For example:

blah@adelphia.net
blah@gizmobytes.com
blah@laptopcenter.net
blah1@gizmobytes.com

Imagine these are my e-mail addresses. I want each to be a separate inbox, but easy for me to access on the panel side. That way, when i click on the shortcut on the side that says "Adelphia inbox", I'll go to that one and see my mail from there that was sent specifically to that e-mail address. And when i send from adelphia, I want it to say it's from that adelphia e-mail account, not from the default e-mail account. Is there any way to do this? I'm really frustrated with outlook. ARGH.

Even better, is there a different e-mail program that can do this? I'd really appreciate any help you guys can throw me here.

At least in Outook Express I can choose which address to use as the sender when I write an e-mail, so I'd imagine it should work in Outlook too.

You can choose the sender in outlook too, or apply rules to move email from certain email addresses into different folders.
