Subaru WRX sucks, it's already turbocharged and barely beats a naturally aspirited RSX. I put an I/H/E on my car and the WRX is gone. Put the turbo kit on my car and the WRX is sucking dust in through it's AC vents. But I may be biased because I simply don't like the rally look... oh well, no beef.

Warren, I saw the title of the thread, then your name next to it and I was going to kill someone if someone wrecked your car and had to buy a new one, but thankfully it's your father's. Phew, close one.
Anyway, ya, 17" white 5 to 7 spoke rims would look stellar on it. Get a spring kit to lower it down just enough so that the wheels fit into the wheel base, no more ... God please no lower! If he's got money to spend get the chameleon paint job on it in blue and green (I think more than 2 colors on the cham looks ridiculous, but I don't like chameleon paint to begin with). Are you going to do any performance mods like an intake, exhaust, sway/strut bars?

I bought it for about $21 I believe.
And if you say the WRX is cheaper, then I have to whole heartedly agree, it is very cheap. Check the interior of the RSX and you'll know why the RSX is nicer, even if it isn't faster. If I wanted speed I would have picked up a 350z, but I actually want my car to NOT look butt ugly.

[edit] LOL! I just looked at the prices, the WRX is $5-10 more expensive! HAHAHA! AND I get 35mpg on AVERAGE in my RSX! You got 20! HAHA! And my car is 700 pounds lighter! That's 8/10th a second faster per horsepower. If I spent the money I saved buying the RSX on performance mods, my car would tear up a WRX, and look nice doing it.

Perhaps, but I find the RSX to be a better buy, which is why I bought it.

And I'm far from a ricer, I just like my car and can't comprehend the idea of anyone having any viewpoint other than mine.

I drove into work this morning listneing to Sirius Radio. It didn't drop once, until I drove into the parking garage, and then when I got to the edges of the garage it would pick up a couple beats from the signal, I was very impressed. When I parked, I backed into my spot so I'd have a little bit of sky visible out the back window and it picked up a nearly full signal! The higher frequency stations wouldn't come in, and after about 10 minutes the signal dropped all together, I guess the thing moved out of sight in orbit. It probably picked up a signal because I'm so far south in the US. I must say, however, that the signal was a little tinny because I have it FM Modulating right now. I plan to plug the RCA outs direcly into the CD Changer harness on the back of my stereo sooner or later, and that should eleviate that problem. The sound was full range, but the midrange, the vocals, were a little ... echoy or tinny, they didn't sound full.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, the Satellite Radio also has terrestrial radio signal amplification. Sirius beams down their radio signal to high frequency radio towers that they've installed in major cities so that even in urban canyons you'll pick up the signal from its terrestrial source.

Anyway, I switched from CNBC on 101 on the drive in to Jazz Planet on 70, then down to 20 Octane, high-powered modern rock, then 31 New Country and 37 Bluegrass, and finally over to 2 The Pulse. Great selection, great music, awesome service. Worth every penny I spent, especially since I'm going to be driving from Florida to Tennessee on a regular basis, now I've got the same channels the entire trip. It was worth it for me, and I finally don't have to shift the knob when a commercial comes on because there ARE NO COMMERCIALS, on ANY STATION! The most is a 7 second blib from a glib DJ.

Sirius is the best thing I've done for my car.
