I like Datsun, I love those popcorn scoop headlights!

1550? Well, if you need to raise V by 110, I think it's reasonably possible, that's about 10 or so questions. I raised my verbal quite a lot. The first time I took it, I got a combined score of 1220, 570 V, 650 M. I studied my ass off for about a month (I used Barron's SAT book, pretty good, lots of practise tests), and the second time I took it, got a 1300, 620 V, 680 M. That's a 50 point raise in V, and I'm NOT good in verbal AT ALL!! Math is my fortay (but I do stupid mistakes when timed...). I'm taking it again in October, I'd like to get a 650 V, and a 720 M.

I took the ACT, it's ok, just VERY long and soooo many questions!! I did great, except English (of course...). My scores are:
Math = 29
Reading = 27
Science = 34 (Booyah!)
English = 19 :cry:
Composite = 27 :?

Without that stupid 19 English, it would be a fantastic 30 composite...
34 in Science, oohhh yyyeaaahhh 8).

All I can say is good luck, I personally hate standardized tests, I never do as well as I should on them...

Dunno, I always did a lot better on the real tests than on the practice ones, but then I guess it depends on what your book is. When I took the SAT three years ago, I got a 1420; before that, I was getting somewhere in the 1300's on the practice exams. I took the SAT II chem practice tests... first was a 650, second was a 690, and third was a 720. I ended up getting a 780 on the real test. Oh, and this was from one or two nights of practice.

So just study your ass off for a couple of nights and take lots of practice exams from different book revisions.

Moose... the Datsun Z 280zx Turbo's have been running since 1983 and people have them with 200k miles with no engine rebuilds. The cars are amazing as far as reliability is concerned. Plus the car already has the turbo built in, stock from the factory, im not adding one. The stock turbo runs at 6psi normally but is rated at 10psi so that it was im going to run it at, with the inclusion of an intercooler to reduce detonation.
Moose, I know what an LSD is thank you very much, im adding it to imrpove cornering and acceleration because the the Z series cars didnt get LSDs untill 89.
Even if the car has lost compression, im rebuilding the engine and replacing a majority of the components in the engine, including the pistons.

Btw, moose, the 280zxt is 180hp stock, 0-60 of 6.8s
a 70hp increase for a turbo car is rather simple to perfom, for an N/A car on the other hand....

The car costs around $1500-$2500 depending on the condition fool! Thats the average value for Zcars, go to www.zcar.com and check out the classified ads, thats how much they sell for, usually. im spending the other $5000+ on rebuilding the engine and adding some engine mods to the car.

I mean seriously moose, do you think Nissan/Datsun would put a turbo into the car simply so that it would die in 5 years?? no...

And BTW moose, 1970 Datsun 240z's sell for over $10,000, sometimes $15,000 if they are fully restored. The cars are classics, well only the 1970 one is.

Really Damian? I always did better on practice tests. On the practice tests I got a 710 in math and a 770 in verbal, yet on the real one I got a 690 math and 720 verbal. Then again, on the one I took, the verbal was particularly hard.

Rebuilds are different, they're classics. Trashy 80's cars are no good.

AHH, the 83' 280zxt is nearly identical to the 79' 280Z, except with a few body changes and an addition of the turbo, and a new drivetrain too.

moose, my car is going to be rebuilt, at least the engine is, the outside is going to just be painted, and weld up the rusts if there are any.
