Or Kutless "Your Touch" if you're more hardcore.

They're making a statement. Just because they're sold in Christian stores doesn't mean that no one but hardcore Christians are allowed to listen. Try em out, a lot of the bands are more original than the stuff on the radio. Such as , they're like a mix between Sugar Ray, Sublime, and Limp Bizkit. Kind of an interesting sound. I don't particularly like them, but I'm just using them as an example.
And they do sing about what's up, as I said they just end the song with a more positive tone. You're thinking of Praise and Worship, and that's not what I'm talking about. All of these bands I've listed are explicitely Christian ... so is P.O.D., and they're mainstream. Not everything labeled "Christian" is a Steven Curtis Chapman or a Rebbeca St. James (which I also like, but who can say they really don't like The Calling/Dave Matthews Band or Mariah Carrey/Whitney Houston)

I don't listen to bands on the radio much. I also like bands that have real statements rather than "hey we are going to stand out by proving we are the same as the majority of Americans!"

The majority of Americans are apathetic. It's their zeal that makes someone seperate. And you've obviously not spent any time listening to it, so I don't know how you can make such a judgement. If you'd even demo the links I gave I wouldn't say anything. Everyone has an opinion ... as long as it's informed.

It's not like, if you click those links, suddenly and instantly you'll be uncool. Don't be affraid or anything.

News Boys? They suck.

"Christian" isn't one kind of music. Not everything is a News Boys. There's everything from Rock to Indie to Rap Christian. It's just as broad as Mainstream.

Go here: and demo one song. Then tell me you can judge "Christian Music" by News Boys. Either way from this point on I'll respect your opinion.

Live is another band, not the way I heard the newsboys. My big problem is that they feel the need to say the are a christian band. I guess this roots in the way I view religion. I think that you should be with God in your own mind and don't need to tell anyone. Also I don't think you should feel that you need to or that you even should necesarily tell people. I think that these bands are using the fact that they are Christians and have an ok band to get out in the open. Which to me is capitalizing on God.
