Heh. Well, then be original and don't ask us.

well its not a requirement to have a good title, i just wanted to see what you'd come up with. you are, after all, supposed to be the best and brightest in the pocket pc community...

Well, since particle accelerators have nothing to do with light or photons you could call it "Protons be free" or "As the neutrons collide" or maybe "As the Electron Turns" (from the popular soap opera). But I usually like to keep my essays, especially for a physics or science class, reasonably professional.

How about, umm. "The Birth of Positrons"
Antimatter is created by bombarding a mixture of Platinum and Gold with protons. Again, nothing to do with a particle accelerator.
Particle Accelerators are used to split atoms, creating nuclear fission, which in turns creates a by product of energy. Think of atoms being shot at each other very quickly.

Positrons destory electrons, so that also has nothing to do with particle accelerators.
I kind of like my "As the Electron Turns" or "As the Atoms Collide."

normally i'd keep it 'professional' but it goes like this:

in a bid to make our parents believe hes doing shit, tony blair our right lovable prime minister organised 'key skills' in our colleges.

this means that as well as the work that we actually went to college to do, we also have to attend some other, very ridiculous classes that hardly anyone goes to, so we can prove we know how to use ms word, search the 'internet' and spot a van gogh at a hundred feet.

its completely useless, we're fed up because we get shouted at for not going, the teachers dont like it because they see its of no use and it wastes their time too, and our parents are fed up because its wasting their kids' time and all they hear is us moaning about it when we get home.

so, i have to write an essay for key skills, about physics... my physics teacher has to waste his time marking some shit that he hasnt even asked me to do and that wont benefit me at all.

to keep me interested in the essay i have decided to make it a little more fun by making it as interesting or [i]entertaining[/] as i can.

this stinks.

That's a good idea about your essay, making it humorous. I do that a lot with moronic assignments that the teachers don't care about either. I get good grades too.

So, did you like any of my suggestions?

But isn't physics the mathematic side of forms of energy, like potential and kinetic, etc. with some basic science knowledge thrown in?Last modification: Moose Master - 07/02/01 at 14:26:29

i'm writing about the history of particle accelerators, briefly covering the different types then focussing on one. i then have to compare the pros and cons of them all and put a conclusion like 'the future of particle accelerators' or something.

there isnt that much maths in physics, but i do both - ones normal physics and the others maths/mechanics so some is exactly the same which makes it easy on me
