But I still want to see just the Return of the King today. But the movie theater isn't showing it alone, only in the marathon

The Scouring of the Shire as noted by some already was not filmed but I understand PJ's view on the matter: After the battles between Gondor and Mordor, the SoS would have been a bit dull.
